can't connect gtx 1070 to hp omen accelerator

hp omen accelerator
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I'm trying to connect my ASUS 1070 oc 

this is my host machine: http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=2GQ08EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB

got the accelerator plugged into the thunderbolt 3, it's all lit up but the card is not, this is what I see

confused and frustrated  I have installed all the drivers ect..

Please try  NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, not ASUS 1070 overclocked.

Yes, OC video cards are not on the list. You won't be to get support from HP.

Actually, there is only a reddit list created by an enthusiast that only states 1070.

Before you return the ASUS card, was an nvidia driver installed for the that card as well as whats in your laptop?

IF so, Both drivers need to be the same.

And they should be installed with Windows booting into Safe Mode with Networking.

 

If you have not done so, the drivers need to be completely uninstalled. I would use Guru3D's DDU to do that first.

Then boot Safe Mode and install the same driver version for both. Currently its 390.77.

If the card is still not available, then you know its not compatible.
