Product: Omen 600 Mouse

I have been using the Omen 600 Mouse for quite a while now and i love it. I get the idea of the sniper button, but i personally do not like it. It is not the fact that it isn't a back button anymore, it is the fact that i cant customize it in game. I want to disable the sniper button for gaming purposes. I have read forums and checked the manual, nothing. I keep seeing people asking how to disable it, but HP employees just give them a link to the manual when it shows nothing on how to disable it. I would really love to know how to disable it. If there is a way, please tell me HP. Thank You.

I came across your post and would like to assist. 

 

I understand that you have an OMEN by HP Mouse 600 and you would like to disable the sniper button it. 

 

During my research, I could not find any specific instructions to disable to sniper button. However, what I found was the Mouse software/driver for HP OMEN Mouse with SteelSeries. This software/driver enables configuration of button functions and scrolling on the OMEN Mouse. 

 

You may download (click here) and install this software and check if it offers and option to disable the sniper button.

I had an Omen 600 for a while. Unfortunately the biggest drawback was the inability to customize the buttons. Sniper button nor the simultaneous right/left click could not be changed. Only the dpi and lift.

 

I'm hoping the next version will have these issues covered.
