I recently got this laptop and it’s awesome and it has great specs but it doesn’t support a lot of programs and games because of the low graphics in it. I want to buy a eGPU for the laptop and a graphics card (unless they come All together I’m not sure).  I’ve been doing some research and I’ve been seeing that you need to make sure the eGPU and graphics card are compatible with your laptop. How do I find what I’d compatible with my laptop? Is there a certain eGPU or graphics card I need? Or can I use any of them?

The specs of your machine is

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06449252

  1. It has Intel® Integrated SoC which is embedded on processor/CPU therefore no other option.
  2. It has  1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (5 Gb/s signaling rate, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort™ 1.2, HP Sleep and Charge) port which is not fast enough for any eGPU, you need some sorts of Thunderbolt port to ba able to connect to an eGPU.

Final call: No, you machine can't connect to an eGPU. No available port/socket.

Regards.
