Hi @mrk4resident

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

HP Accessory Center is not compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina. To configure your HP 480 Comfort Mouse, you’ll need to upgrade to macOS 11 or later, or use basic macOS settings for limited functionality.

Why HP Accessory Center Won’t Work on macOS 10.15

  • The current version of HP Accessory Center requires macOS 11.0 or later for installation.
  • HP has not released a legacy version of the app for macOS 10.15 Catalina, and there’s no official workaround or alternate download available from HP’s support channels.

What You Can Do on macOS 10.15

1. Use macOS System Preferences for Basic Mouse Settings

  • Go to System Preferences > Mouse.
  • Adjust:
    • Tracking speed
    • Scroll direction
    • Double-click speed
  • These settings won’t allow button remapping or DPI adjustments, but they help optimize usability.

2. Upgrade macOS (If Possible)

  • If your Mac supports it, upgrading to macOS 11 Big Sur or newer will allow you to install HP Accessory Center from the App Store.
  • You can check compatibility at: Apple macOS Upgrade Guide
