I also have a tuf x570 +tuf 3070 and I ended up buying a pcie usb add in cart, cause even though my front usb looked like it worked, it really caused a lot of issues.

With the add in cart all my tracking issues are gone. No more controllers on the floor or stuck somewhere.

The only issues that do remain are the steamvr crashes. Stutters can still result in blue screens on the g2, but that does not happen all that often.

Seems like it's very specific to some games though.

The lab is still super unstable for me. HL Alyx I needed to lower the video settings now it's more stable, it's a bit weird since the FPS was high enough, it just crashed on explosions and save/loads.

Beat Saber for example never crashes.

Let's hope they can fix that steamvr compatibility.

The add-on PCIe card did not work for me either, but the $20 Anker hub from Amazon works 100% on all games, Steam VR included.

$20 Anker USB worked for me too. Go figure.

ASUS Crosshair VIII impact (3204 bios with AMD chipset drivers), 5950x, ASUS TUF 3080 (27.21.14.6109 driver), G skill tridentz neo X3D2H 2 x 16Gb, 1TB Samsung 980 PRO M.2, Windows 10 Pro 64

Tried every USB port on my computer, tried disabling C-state in bios, tried changing PCIE GPU port to GEN 3. All with no luck.

I'm adding to this thread just in case anybody else wanders by who has an ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop A15 (AMD Ryzen 7 4000 Series, NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti, 1x HDMI 2.0b, 1x USB 2.0 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (supporting DisplayPort 1.4), 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A) and is getting the dreaded Windows Mixed Reality 7-14. I had it for days, and have less hair as the result. Well, that, and a filled-to-overflowing cuss jar. BUT! After days and days of forum scouring I happened upon the same fix as many, many others have -- using a USB hub, and in my case a *powered* USB hub, but that's just me. I'm sure a bus-powered one could work just as it has for others, but I've already got a week in on trouble-shooting this thing, along with two useless adapter experiments/purchases along the way, so I wanted to hedge my bet with a powered hub. Insignia (Best Buy) USB 3.0 4-Port Hub with Power Supply, $30. Got home, wired everything up, and I have a working Reverb G2!

I labored and labored over whether the problem child was the laptop's USB-C port and the required USB-C-to-DisplayPort adapter (which seemed intuitive to me). Nope. It's apparently the laptop's USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Neither worked (for headset purposes). The assumption is they are either under-powered, or somebody, and I'm not naming names, has screwed up the drivers and/or the software. I mean, throw in a third-party hub (with its own, separate drivers) and suddenly things work? You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to know something is amiss here.

Don't get hung up on the USB "3.0" thing on the hub (like I did). Obviously it works just fine on the "3.2 Gen 1" ports on the ASUS (well, it did for me). And, yes, I used the HP-supplied USB-C-to-Type A adapter provided in the Reverb G2 box to plug into the hub. VOILA!

Hope this can help somebody. The road was bumpy, but the destination is . . . AWESOME! Obviously, YMMV. No warranties (from me), express or implied, yada, yada, yada. Good luck!

For all the people with x570 chipsets and usb problems, AMD is looking into it:

In the mean time a pcie usb expansion card for the trick for me.
