I have checked all the resources I have at my disposable unfortunately there are no mentions or enough information  on the M.2 Slot, probably since the HP 300 0xx mini desktop is not an upgradeable Desktop

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

It might work and you will definitely need a separate PSU. But HP cannot guarantee the functionality or performance of the eGPU

Thank you

Thanks for that, there's not much detailed info in the pc instructions, can you tell me if the socket 3 is pcie2 or pcie4 nvme and whether it's a B or M socket. I'm trying not to use the wifi socket.
