I purchased an Omen X 27 QHD 240Hz Monitor in April 2020. It is a beautiful monitor but I have one problem I cannot solve.
How do I manually change the mode of the monitor to 1080p @ 60Hz. There are some games which I would prefer to run at higher framerates and I thought reducing the resolution to 1080p would be a quick way to do this.
If I change the resolution in game, the picture is very blurry with the pixels stretched out. If I change the resolution in Nvidia Control Panel to 1080p the picture quality is again blurry. If I instead opt for "pixel for pixel" display it is a sharp image but then I have huge black bars surrounding my screen.
However, when I plug my Nintendo Switch/PS4 into the monitor it automatically sets the mode to 1080p @ 60Hz and is perfect. Why can I not do this when on my PC, can anyone help me?
I browsed around 4 pages of forum posts on the Omen X 27 monitor and couldn't find a related topic so I am reasonably certain this is a new question for the board.
