HP 15-BS022CA

I was updating this laptop, but somehow the BIOS/UEFI got affected, and now it powers up (fan and drive sound),

but it does not finish or even start POST, so no HP logo or anything else.

I removed the battery, help the power button for 60 seconds, and tried the Windows-V and Windows-B BIOS reset

and renew with no results, no sound, no logo.

The machine is out of warranty, so no help from HP, and the cost for replacements of parts or repairs are too high for this Windows 10 machine.

I even tried a USB stick with the UEFI repair on it, but it will not boot from it.

Any possible other things I can try?

I even opened it up and removed/replaced the internal battery, but with no results..

Hi @backdoc52

Unfortunately the PC is bricked.

You have one possible recovery option.

Download this previous BIOS update.

Find a local PC Tech who might be able to use this BIOS file to flash the BIOS outside of the operating system using a Serial BIOS Programmer.

It is difficult to determine if the most recent BIOS update caused the problem. Or something else has happened.

I would avoid this BIOS update in the future if the Tech can repair your PC.

The sad part is that there are no downloads or drivers for this computer online,

so whatever the HP support software did was not helpful, it caused the system

to be bricked with no way out.

So I will have to buy a new computer, and because of this it will NOT be an HP laptop!!!

Thanks for your help, but since this is a Windows 10 computer, any money spent on it now is wasted.
