Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed new ram then it started beeping 3 times then 2 and won’t start up,   I moved the old ram over to the other slot to see if it was bad and got the same thing, so I moved the old ram to the first slot and it’s still beeping,   I’ve tried to rest to board by taking the battery out, any More opinions?

I would remove all RAM.

Do a hard reset, and run an F2 diagnostic on the RAM.

 

Then repeat with the original RAM and compare results.

 

Then swap the old for the new and repeat, analyse the 3 results and post any anomalies or conclusions.

 


PLEASE POST ANY RESULTS.
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.

NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

The BIOS does need to acknowledge the RAM changes and just swapping without allowing time for a re-acquisition may be the problem. So go into the BIOS and view the results of any amendments.
