790-0029 possible to upgrade?

Pavilion HP

Hello,
i have a 790-0029 with the i7-8700 and the Geforce 1060, i would like to know if this is possible to upgrade this PC?
I would like to upgrade the powersupply to 750w and i would like to know if this is possible to change the case ?
Does a 1080Ti will fit in the original case?

Thanks.

790-0029 possible to upgrade?

Hello @AlexDuro

Unfortunately, HPs are generally not meant to be upgraded to that extent. They are intended to be used as purchased.

The PSU is proprietary to the system and not an ATX form factor.

The motherboard is wired to accomodate the SFF PSU and the standoffs are generally not like standard. So while you might get the board installed into another case, wiring it will take a certain expertise to do so. Sorry.

The 1080ti will need a larger PSU and HP doesnt offer one that strong in SFF.

Most HP motherboards are custom built for HP specs as is yours.

They can be manufactured by various vendors like for example MSI, but HP does not publish that sort of info.

YOurs is an HP Bergs with an H370 chipset.
