Omen 880
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Omen 880 and I'm trying to add a hard drive into one of the bays at the top of the PC

If I put the drive into either bay (powered off & re-boot) Windows doesn't see it in explorer or computer management.

I managed to boot into the BIOS and it doesn't appear to be in their either.

I have managed to get it to work by putting it into the spare internal bay (next to the 2TB C: Drive) and connecting it with a SATA lead onto the motherboard - I have to take the exisitng SATA lead out that goes to the 2 x bays.

I'm fairly sure the bays have the correct power & SATA connectors.

Any ideas?

Don't know what's happened, but it's now working.

Can't say I've done anything different apart from a couple more re-boots!
