Hello
I bought a omen gaming computer last night, i see it comes with only 8gb of 2133 mhz ram.
I would like to add another 8gb of ram to my system, but i dont know where to get it or what type of ram i can use.
Do i have to change to compleatly different ram or is it possible to get another 8gb of the same ram, which is allready in the system?

Hello @Omenfan
Yes you can absolutely add more memory.
According to the specs, you should have GNRC RAM UDIMM 8G DDR4 1.2V 2133mhz (15-15-15 timing).
The part number if ordering from the HP Parts store is 848216-800.
You don't have to go with the HP specific module, but it would be best to ensure a match to the existing one.
You can go with other brands like Crucial, Kingston, etc but you want to match the specs of whats there already.
Don't mix and match timings.
If you go with a different brand, I would pull the module out and read the specs first to ensure you match it.
(I would do this anyway just to be sure something else wasn't used).
If its 2133mhz single sided DDR4, then that's what you want to match.
Well, you get the idea.

Hello.
I have the same pc and the same question, want to add another 8gb ram to my Omen 870-250no.
My problem is that i dont want to mix different brands of ram, and i cant find this memory here in Sweden (including the local HP store).
Any tips where i can by this memory stick?
As i live in Sweden, any EU contry would be fine.
Best Regards
S

Hello @SweSA69
That could be a problem. I have no way of knowing who to contact for such a search. You would have to do your homework and lookup the HP Stores in that area yourself. You could try Germany, France, UK.
But, if you insist on a matched pair of ram sticks, it would be cheaper to completely replace whats there with a name brand set . HP Store will be pricey, plus the outside taxes and shipping wont be worth it.
Here is one example of a store in Stockholm I found...

Good luck.
