Will after market power supplies work with a HP Z620 18 pin motherboard? I need a different power supply for two modern video cards. I have an EVGA PSU that has 18 pins, will the pinout be the same/compatible with the HP motherboard, I don't really want to fry the workstation just trying it out.

Thanks!

@1Patriot, welcome to the forum.

I can't find a pin diagram for the 18-pin ATX power connector.  However, this company makes a 24-pin to 18-pin adapter that appears to be universal and not for any specific PSU.  I suggest that you contact them to see if they can answer your question.  They should know the pin configuration on the HP 18-pin connector.
