I have a HP Pavilion Power 15 laptop (Model: 15 cb042nr) that comes with a 120W charger, while the laptop itself is rated for 150W. I'm looking into buying a backup charger for travel and was wondering if:

1) Is it safe to use a 200W charger with this model?

2) If so, will it charge faster, or will charging be capped at 150W?

Yes, 200W will charge your machine faster BUT it would kill your battery faster too (due to heat). Your machine came with 120W charger, that is the optimum charger by designed, You can use higher wattage  chargers but as mentioned above most-likely it would kill the battery faster.

Regards.
