I'm playing on an HP Omen 25L with Cpu: i5 14400f and GPU: RTX 4060 with 16 gb ram. When i play CS2 for example i get around 180 fps to max 230, it can even drop below 180 fps and thats with using all the settings on low. I've seen someone on youtube having the same specs and gets over 300+ stable fps.Is there some kind of restriction or something? or how do i fix this problem.

@RobbanK, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Low FPS on HP Omen 25L!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
There can be several reasons why you may experience lower FPS than expected on your HP Omen 25L. Here are some steps to help troubleshoot and possibly improve your gaming performance:
Update Drivers:
- Ensure your graphics card drivers and other critical system drivers are updated to the latest versions. Visit NVIDIA's official website to download the latest drivers for the RTX 4060.
Check Game Settings:
- Even though you mentioned playing on low settings, make sure any resource-intensive settings such as V-Sync, anti-aliasing, or high-resolution shadows are turned off or minimized.
Power Settings:
- Adjust your Windows power settings to "High Performance" to ensure the system is prioritizing performance over power saving.
Background Applications:
- Close unnecessary background applications which may be consuming system resources and impacting game performance.
Temperature and Thermal Throttling:
- Monitor your system's temperatures. High temperatures can cause thermal throttling, reducing GPU/CPU performance. Ensure the system cooling is functioning correctly, and consider cleaning the fans or using a cooling pad.
Check System Performance:
- Use tools like Task Manager, HWMonitor, or MSI Afterburner to monitor CPU and GPU usage and check if any component is maxing out.
System Optimization:
- Clear temporary system files, regularly defragment your HDD (if applicable), and consider using optimization software to improve system performance.
Overclocking:
- If comfortable, consider moderate overclocking of your GPU to improve performance. Ensure adequate cooling is in place to handle the increased load.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
