Hi.

Got an hp omen 45l at work for some development.
Once painfully passed the windows setup, i connected my iscsi drive. All seems fine, I could access my data.

After sometime working, i got an unknown error message from bitlocker and since then my iscsi drive appear locked and windows refuse to open it with an error message like : "bitlocker not compatible, use a more new version of window", making 3 TB of my own data inaccessible by myself.
How i can get back my data ? Will HP or Microsoft pay back from the lost data as I did not ask them to destroy MY data ?
Why in the horrible setup, asking all my personal data, there is not a box asking if I want use my data safely or use a no stable ransomware to prevent third party and myself to access my own data ?
If you are an HP user and care your data I can only advise you to not use pre-installed HP OS, which is be default configured to be insecure.
I did the mistake to forget that usually sellers have no skills in security. They will take the worst decisions as they will never have to assume them.
Please be more careful than I was with hp and windows products.

And if someone has any idea how i can get back my data, I'm open to suggestion. I tried unlock, off bitlocker with manage-bde, but as I never was told by the system where the key is .... And I guess the unknown bitlocker error may have corrupt my data forever

If anyone from hp or microsoft read this post, please tell me how much bitcoin, ethereum, ... and to which wallet send them to get this "newer window version", that the microsoft window bitlocker ransomware require to unlock my data.

Best regards,
OD
