I just got the pc today and whenever I start it up the screen starts flickering black and freezes, and also whenever I start up a game it does the same thing.

Hi

 

Verify the monitor and video cable (HDMI/DisplayPort) being used are good. Check this connection or try a different data cable. Check power cable connections.

 

You could have a loose internal connection, or a component such as a RAM module needs to be reseated, or you have a faulty component (graphics card-power supply-RAM, etc.). A brand new PC that freezes is usually not a good sign.

 

I would return the PC to the seller if purchased today and routine troubleshooting fails.
