Black screen

Hp omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
Left my computer on last night and got home about 35 minutes later. Was playing WoW and when I resumed it froze, I restarted computer and now after log in I get the black screen with cursor.

I can not open task manager, it opens but then closes before it loads.

I can not boot in safe mode it just gives me the black screen there as well.

I system restored to a month ago and it still gives me black screen.

Startup repair did not work, and it gets about 30% through of reset then says it can't reset.

Any ideas what else I can do?

@Kumora, welcome to the forum.

What is the model or product number of the Omen?  It sounds like you may have a failed video card.  I will be able to help you more when I have the requested information.

Hi

Welcome to the forum

You can try out a hard reset(power drain). You can do this by pressing power and mute key on the keyboard for 30 seconds.

If this does not work then you would have to try a HP Recovery from the HP recovery manager. If this fails as well you might have to get a fresh copy of win 10 OS.

Hope this works
