Hi @HitenHirani,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your Victus by HP gaming laptop is experiencing some serious display issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

Check Power Connection:

  • Ensure that the power adapter is firmly connected to both the laptop and the wall outlet.
  • Try using a different outlet or testing the adapter with another compatible HP laptop, if available.

Battery Calibration:

  • Full Charge Cycle: Fully charge the laptop and then use it until the battery is nearly empty. Repeat this cycle a couple of times to recalibrate the battery.
  • If the battery is removable, try taking it out and reinserting it.

Adjust Power Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Power Options and check your power plan settings. Make sure it's not set to dim or turn off the display too quickly.

Update Display Drivers:

  • Right-click on the Start button, select Device Manager, and expand the Display adapters section. Right-click on your graphics driver and select Update driver. Choose to search automatically for updated driver software.

Check Display Settings:

  • Go to Settings > System > Display and ensure that the brightness settings are appropriately adjusted. Sometimes, the brightness might be set too low.

External Display Test:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the external display works fine, the issue may be with your laptop's screen or internal connections.

Boot in Safe Mode:

  • Restart your laptop and press F8 (or Shift + F8) repeatedly until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu. Select Safe Mode. If the display works in safe mode, a software issue may be causing the problem.

Advanced Troubleshooting

BIOS Update:

  • Visit the HP support website and check for any BIOS updates for your model. An outdated BIOS can sometimes cause display issues.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • If you're comfortable doing so, open the laptop to check for loose connections, especially around the display cable.

Factory Reset:

  • As a last resort, you can consider performing a factory reset. Make sure to back up your data before doing this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
