OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC IDS Base Models (ArticunoI)
Microsoft Windows 11

My Omen is starting up on a completely blank screen. My monitor is “seeing” or getting a blank screen but nothing else. No splash logo, no sound, no nothing. It was fine when I last used it which was Friday evening. No nothing but a blank screen.

I have tried pressing the esc key on startup but still nothing. Ahelp is much appropriate.

OK, problem solved. After sitting blank for over 30 mins, the splash Omen logo suddenly appeared, and it apparently was applying some updates and restarted, and after another 15 mins, everything is good.

NOTE TO HP:  PLEASE PROVIDE AN UPDATE THAT TELLS USERS AN UPDATE IS GOING ON. A COMPLETELY BLANK SCREEN IS NOT HELPFUL.

hi

"NOTE TO HP: PLEASE PROVIDE AN UPDATE THAT TELLS USERS AN UPDATE IS GOING ON. A COMPLETELY BLANK SCREEN IS NOT HELPFUL. "

Sorry but hp, won't take that into account here
And if it's a microsoft update, Hp, can't do anything about it..
And yes, why, except in a few cases, we still don't have a real progress bar, rather than dotted lines that turn stupidly!

In any case well done for patience, turning off the computer at this time could have been fatal
Hope this is useful to others!
