Can I install another fan in my new computer myself without voiding warranty ?

So  can I install another fan in my new computer myself without voiding warranty ? The original one is not as quite as I would like. It's an omen 880-145no

Which fan are you talking about?

I had a chat with Support recently about the fan on the liquid cooler of mine. They did not want me to swap it out myself as they said doing so could void the warranty.

So while technically you can change a part yourself, any damage caused by the work or part will no doubt void a warranty.

 

If you do change one yourself, if you have to return the system for warranty, I would swap the original fan back first.

Do so at your own risk.
