Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I would like to run a GTX 1050ti on my PC. I know it will not be compatible but I am not sure what to do to fix that. Do I need to get a new motherboard?

PC specs: 

Intel Core i7 2600s 2.80GHz CPU

2AC2 Motherboard

Radeon HD 6570 graphics card

8 GB of ram is installed

@Looiex , welcome to the forum.

 

You are correct that your motherboard will not be compatible with the GTX 1050 Ti.  The 1050 requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012.  Your computer was released in May, 2011.

 

There are a couple of problems with upgrading the motherboard.  HP has their motherboards made to their specifications.  The main problem is with the holes in the motherboard matching the standl-offs in your case.  Also, some members have reported having difficulty with the front connectors in the case not matching those on the motherboard.

 

If it were me, I would save my money and wait until I could afford a new computer.  An 8 year old computer is like a dinosaur.
