Hi Swirley
Your PC has a UEFI BIOS. The 1050 requires a UEFI BIOS. So you are good there.
Your PC has a 300 watt power supply. The 1050 requires a 300 watt power supply. 300 watts is the minimum suggested. I usually like to have some head room. I would be more comfortable with a 400 to 500 watt power supply.
But the 1050 also requires a supplemental PCIe 6 pin power supply connector. You would have to check to see if the HP power supply has this. 300 watt PS's may not have this required PCIe connector. The card will not initialize without this connection.
The PCIe x16 slot on your motherboard is a 2.0 slot. The 1050 will work in a 2.0 slot but will not run as fast as it would when the graphics card is installed in a PCIe 3.0 slot.
The Asus 1050 strix I looked at, because I am not sure what specific card you purchased, is 9.5 inches in length.
Did you measure along the x16 slot to verify the card will fit in your PC's chassis?
