Recently got this unit for a fantastic price I can’t find out anywhere if I can update the graphics card with something else ? It currently has gtx 1050 in it

I am linking a spreadsheet. It details your model series and all the power supplies are listed (as known so far).

HP uses a proprietary PSU (NON-ATX) design, with specialized motherboard power headers.  As you did not state the exact model number of your unit, (why I do not know, it is not a state secret) but said GTX 1050, can I assume you have a 180W?

 

590 series and 690 series were the initial designs. PSU's will drop into place, and the forward latch will engage, but typically only 1 rear screw will line-up. That is not an issue with a floor/bottom mounted PSU, as shown.

 

As the 690 series was circa 03/2018,  you better keep the purchase invoice (multiple copies, maybe in an envelope taped inside the side panel). Your dealing with a NOS product, and the warranty will be based on the actual purchase date.
