Hi Crippin,

I don't know what type and size PSU you have.

Give me your PC's PSU measurements, (LxHxW).

Then I can help you find a compatible PSU.

Hi Crippin,

You really should have a local PC tech get involved in the component selection and upgrade process.

I will provide as much assistance as is possible in a forum.

But it may be easier to use a local PC technician. HP does not do PC component upgrades and I don't have access to your PC.

Replacing a power supply is a fairly complex process. Installing a graphics card is not too bad.

Hi Crippin,

The PSU cannot be 12.5 inches by 11.95 inches by 4 inches.

SFX PSUs are usually 5 inches by 4 inches by 2.5 inches.

Here is an example of a 300 watt SFX PSU (link) that should fit in your PC.

Here is a 450 watt product (link).

Hi Crippin,

This is a partial image of your MB:

A new graphics card must fit in the enclosed area.

Your PC does not lend itself to easy graphics card upgrade options because of it's size. PSU upgrade options are also somewhat limited.

Your MB dimensions are 8.1x8.7 inches.

The 24 pin power supply connection (white connector) on the MB is directly below the graphics card PCIe x16 slot (black connector).

I cannot recommend a card without having access to the MB

You are going to need a Small Form Factor (SFF) graphics card. You may be able to install a dual slot card. Otherwise, you may be limited to a (SFF) single slot graphics card.

I suggest you have a local PC tech take a look.

Regards
