Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I am looking to see if i would be able to upgrade my HP Omen Obelisk Gaming PC (875-0014) from the current 1060 3GB to a new RTX 2060 6GB (something like this:

EVGA - KO ULTRA GAMING NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card

I am not very technical when it comes to buidling pcs and havent done so yet, can anyone put in any input if they have done this before? I know my PSU wattage is all set because i have 500 watts and that is the recommended for this card, keep in mind I dont know anything about building pcs so be specific! thank you and I look forward to hearing from some people.

@CannonB , welcome to the forum.

This is a good way to begin learning how to build computers.

Here are the specifications for the RTX 2020 in your link:  https://www.evga.com/products/Specs/GPU.aspx?pn=95e906e7-ff3c-4aa9-9969-71b8cebe7ed3

Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that will help you determine if the card will fit into the space provided and if your power supply unit (PSU) has the necessary PCI-E power dongles (6-pin or 8-pin):  https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Knowledge-Base/Upgrade-Video-Card/ta-p/7447100

This information will allow you to look at the specifications of your computer and make the determination if the card is compatible:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-875-0000-obelisk-desktop-pc-series/23302709/model/23...

If you have further questions, I will be glad to try to answer them.  Please do NOT hesitate to ask.  There are no dumb questions on these Forums! 😉
