I am desperate for an answer as son has his heart set on this cpu upgrade for his Birthday.
We would like the CPU replaced from the standard 'off the shelf' model the PC was fitted with and replaced with the following model:
Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz
The processor socket is LGA 1151
Intel 100 series/C230 Chipset
I need to know if there is a BIOS upgrade to support this.

@drobe10, welcome to the forum.
Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer. If you look at the section titled "Processor upgrade information" you will see that the processor you want to use is not listed. Those listed have been fully tested to assure that they will work properly. There is no BIOS update that will allow it to work. I wish that I had better news for you.
