HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0818no

I can’t connect to the internet on my HP Gaming Pavilion. When i press the button in the bottom right corner and looks for wifi, nothing pops up.

Have you installed the drivers for the network card?
You can find them here using the built in tool: https://support.hp.com/en-us/drivers/laptops

Edit: There are two different versions of the laptop, ones with Intel and ones with Realtek networking.
Make sure to install the correct one. You should be able to find out by following these steps

  1. Open Start-menu, search Device Manager.
  2. Check under the Networking subsection which adapter is installed. (I'm hoping it won't show up as 'universal network adapter' or something.)
  3. If above fails, let me know.

I recommend using the tool to figure out which specific drivers you need if you can't figure it out yourself, it'll detect if it's an Intel or Realtek card.
