Hello,
I want to update my BIOS from A0.13 to something newer than A0.14 to support a Crucial NVMe M.2 SSD.
I have tried both the download and install from the download page, and I have also downloaded to the desktop and run from there. Neither method works. I have also turned off McAfee (virus & FW) and tried but the same issue. I have tried both versions on the download page with the same issue.
when I launch SP85454:
1) window: "If I want to allow this app to make changes to your device"? click: Yes
2) window: Has SP85484 info click: Next
3) window: License Agreement select: "I accept" choose: Next
4) window: Location to save file C:\SWSetup\SP85484 Select: Next
5) window: status bar get to about 25%, then the window disappears.
Nothing happens after this. I see files in the C:\SWSetup folder.
Any assistance will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Doug Larimore

Who told you a BIOS update would correct any issue related to M.2 socket 3 device?
I do not see that mentioned in the "fixes" list.

While attempting to troubleshoot why windows and My BIOS were not seeing the new Crucial M.2 SSD, "Paul_Tikkanen" linked a community post "M.2 Drives Thimphu…) which is the mainboard in my system. In the post by "Big_Dave", he cites that NVMe support is added in BIOS A0.14, as my system is at A0.13!
