Omen 880-068
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Omen 880-068 which as a gt 1030 in it already. I already installed a new 650w psu and looking to get a better GPU. I'm looking into getting a GTX 1660 or GTX 1060(something better than them two gpu that's wallet friendly) but I'm not sure if they will work with my current specs of the omen 880 and will it fit n the PC case.

You could go with any popular name brand. The timings and voltage need to match if you're adding to an existing stick. Otherwise it wont run as efficiently together and can possibly have issues.

Use a tool like CPUz to look up the timings... https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.90-en.zip

EXAMPLE:

As far as recommendations go, several of us on this forum recommend Crucial because they have an excellent money back guarantee if their ram doesn't work.

Here is what they offer for your model...

Hello again @JDR198

There is no reason either of those card wouldn't work, or any other modern graphics card for that matter.

Since your system only has a Ryzen5-1400, I probably wouldn't get too crazy on spending a lot for top end card anyway. The 1060 or 1660 would be a good choice.

The only thing you would need to check is if the power supply is powerful enough and has the correct power connectors for the card. Your new PSU will meet those requirements.

Also measure the available space inside the case and compare it to the specs of the new card. Your Omen 880 should be able to accommodate just about any card size out there though, so you should be golden.

Let me know if you have other questions.

I'm more than likely going to buy the ram sticks you linked me. If my new ram sticks timings don't match to my existing ram, is there any to fix it. Sorry about all the questions and thanks for the help.

If you find a model number for Crucial, you can always contact them and ask what the timings are.

I usually can google a ram model number and find the info on sites like NewEgg too.

When ever I have googled a crucial model number in the past, its using the same timings.

Since I don't know what your existing timings are, I cant look them up.

I would contact Crucial and ask them about those timings. What they show on that page doesnt match.

I wont be in much this weekend with family emergency. Contact them on what you can do. The current timings are very odd for that memory.
