I am really confused (and potentially disappointed) by the compatibility of my motherboard when I tried to upgrade it to a 3700x. I have updated the bios to the latest version but the system does not detect it and will not boot up.
What's frustrating is that I have 875-0202a which came with the Ryzen 2700. There is also a 875-0110a which has the exact same motherboard (the Moria) and comes with a 3700x. I'm really surprised it is the same motherboard but my one does seem to support the 3700x.
Is this truly the case or am I doing something wrong?

@DeKiwi , welcome to the Community.
I can't locate your model anywhere on HP's website or on the Internet. However, it is not strange for the same motherboard to have two different specifications for the processor. This is how HP gets their price points is by offering higher-end processors on more expensive models. All of the companies do the same marketing of their products.

@DeKiwi, this is true, but each has its special requirements to operate properly. As I said, this is the way HP develops their price points.
