Compatibility with GTX 1050Ti

HP Pavilion Desktop PC 570-p0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought my HP Pavilion Desktop PC 570-p0xx some months ago, and I want to add a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050Ti OC 4GB GDDR5 that I found here: (https://www.pccomponentes.com/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1050ti-oc-4gb-gddr5). I want to know if my PC is compatible with this graphic card. Thanks in advance.

I'll post my specifications if the PC's name doesn't help:

Motherboard ID: 82FE (I think it's a Willow 2)

BIOS: F.20-10/30/2017

RAM: 8 GB (7,45 GB available)

Processor: AMD A10-9700 RADEON R7, 10 COMPUTE CORES 4C+6G 3.50 GHz

Graphic Card (Integrated): AMD Radeon R7 Graphics

  • Aproximated total memory: 4309 MB
  • Screen memory (VRAM): 495 MB

DirectX: 12

Compatibility with GTX 1050Ti

Hi

You are going to have a problem installing a dual slot (GTX 1050ti) in a Willow2 motherboard.

The 24 pin ATX power connection may be in the way.

Look where the white 24 pin connector is located on your motherboard. The length of any graphics card installed cannot exceed the distance from the rear I/O knockout slot to the PCIe x16 retention clip. The 1050 is 191mm. The MB is around 229mm in length.

You may have to look at smaller single slot graphics cards or, maybe, a shorter dual slot if the rear I/O panel has two adjacent knockout slots.

Tom
