Hi,

So as the titel says. I was just sitting at my computer when it all of a sudden started to get really noisy.. I immediately knew something was wrong and turned the computer off. I opened the computer up on the side and then started it in order to be able to maybe hear and see where the sound came from. I then thought one of the 2 fans on my graphics card was the problem as I could see it didn`t run as quickly as the other one. It was also where the loud noise came from..

Now what should I do? Try and get rid of some dust to see if that helps the fan? Or do I have to replace the fan?

I ordered the computer in late january of 2018 so I couldn`t find it`s proper name...

But it’s serienumber is     [edit]

Thanks

@Sternski I appreciate the details, I have edited the post accordingly, that said, please try the new link, here it is for your reference: click here

And yes, the cleaning of dust does help a lot, as it clears the cause of the malfunction, I'm glad you did it.

It shouldn't normally start screaming after a week, if it does, because its weak, that could be a hardware malfunction and we may need to replace the fan to fix it permanently,

I hope that helps, If you need anything else, please let me know and have a good day.

Hi! Thank you

First of all, I don´t have a Notebook, I´ve got a desktop computer.

I actually went ahead and cleaned the inside of my computer! Now, it wasn´t a lot of dust in there since I bought the computer about a year ago and has been very kind to it since. But I got rid of the small amount of dust and tried the computer again with the side of it open, so I could see the fan and check how everything worked out.

Incredibly it has been quiet since then. Apparently the cleaning helped the fan to start working properly again!

I now just hope it doesn´t start to scream like crazy again after a weak or so.. Then I know for sure that it´s the fan for the graphics card thats broken.

Kind regards, Sternski
