So last night we had a power outage and right before the power went out my PC made up popping sound and now it will not turn back on no lights no sound nothing this was a very expensive computer so I would like to just fix the parts if I could instead of getting a whole new one

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

The popping sound could be limited to the power supply. But you may have additional component damage.

 

You would have to replace components, one at a time, until the PC can POST and run Windows, very expensive. This expense could rival the cost of a new PC.

 

Determining the extent of component failure is best undertaken by a qualified local PC Tech.

 

I realize the following suggestion can't fix the current problem but consider an UPS in the future.
