Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a z640 and i am asking whether it supports tpm 2.0 or not ..i currently have tpm 1.2 and i downloaded an hp tool that updates the tpm version from the official website ...but when i chose To update to tpm 2.0 i find that the machine restarts normally without even attempting to Update tpm ..is this normal, does this happen because this machine doesn't support the new version of tpm ? Would be glad if anyone helps

@AhmadWD , welcome to the Community.

If you bought your workstation before 2016 it will have TPM 1.0.  Even then, it may not be TPM 2.0 if purchased in 2016.  You can "Press Windows + R keys to open the Run window, type tpm.msc and click OK or hit Enter" to see the version of TPM.

Please click the "Yes" button if my reply was helpful and "Accept as Solution" if your problem is Solved!!

Thank you for the additional information, @AhmadWD!

No!  You don't have TPM 2.0.
