The fan is no longer running. I can’t hear it running. (I’m not good at building computers so I don’t know everything. I just know the fan can’t be heard running anymore and the desktop is very hot. The desktop is discontinued. I’m looking for a replacement fan or tips on fixing it.

Hi
I am guessing the CPU fan has failed. Please advise if this is incorrect. HP normally uses 92 mm fans but you may have a 120 mm fan at the rear exhaust, or front intake fan, or a 120 mm fan installed on the CPU heatsink.
HP does not provide much documentation on factory installed CPU heatsinks or fan dimensions.
I suggest you measure the existing CPU fan. Check Amazon, Newegg, or local retailer for a replacement DC or PWM static pressure fan.
Maybe a local PC tech can do the work for you at a reasonable price?
