Desktop 870-101la upgrade RAM

HP Recommended
Desktop 870-101la
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HI, I do have a Desktop 870-101la and the memory upgrade information says

Supports PC4-17000 (DDR4-2133)

I want to upgrade the RAM, does the message mean I cannot use other memory than DDR4-2133? cause I wanted to replace all the modules with DDR4-2400 or higher if possible.

Thanks.

Yes, the basic speed of memory is DDR4-2133.  HP would have to put a XMP in the BIOS/UEFI for you to use DDR4-2400.  The XMP overclocks the memory to the higher speed.
