Ok. so i just bought a monitor not too long ago, the monitor is "onn. 24" FHD (1920 x 1080p) 165hz 1ms Adaptive Sync Gaming Monitor with Cables, Black, New". The problem is, i connected hdmi to each of the devices, it turned on works and everything, but the monitor is a 165hz monitor. the laptop is 144hz. i noticed i had a displayport wire but my laptop doesnt have a display port option so i just put it away, but while on my monitor it caps at 143.99hz but drops while in games or on anything. what can i do to fix this.
