HP Omen 875-1023
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi! I'm trying to figure out why my brand new 875-1023 ( a beautiful machine by the way, it makes me cry how fast it is) keeps not activating the display when it either falls asleep automatically or I put it to sleep. I end up having to reboot the machine. Which for the first time in my life, is super super fast with the tb SSD. It's hilarious this is even a problem for me. Just trying to figure out what's going on. I've updated all the drivers I can think of. Any advice? Thanks!

@MacmanKing96 , welcome to the forum.

It is alright for a man to cry when it comes to fast computers.  I feel elation every time my computer boots.  I didn't think that I would ever have a computer that is this fast.  Of course, SSD's have made booting amazing.

Have you updated the software and driver for the monitor?  Also, is there a firmware update for it.  I don't know the age of your monitor, but sometimes older monitors don't respond without these updates.  I have been using computers since the beginning of time.  When Windows began using Sleep and Hibernate they were a long way from perfect.  I got used to shutting my computers down and still do it to this day.  I know it is controversial to shut down the computer frequently, but I have never had any component fail for this reason.
