OMEN OBELISK DESKTOP PC - 875-1040ST, 6FH15AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey guys,

I recently bought the PRO Edition Omen Obelisk (OMEN OBELISK DESKTOP PC - 875-1040ST, 6FH15AV). I selected a 2080 Nvidia GPU, and now I want to add the EVGA Liquid Cooler onto the GPU.

The only thing is that EVGA has two versions for the 2080 Nvidia GPU (shown below). Which one will fit mine?! There is the FTW version and the XE version...

EVGA HYBRID Kit for EVGA/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080/2070 XC/XC2/FE, 400-HY-1184-B1, RGB

or

EVGA HYBRID Kit for EVGA GeForce RTX 2080/2070 FTW3, 400-HY-1284-B1, RGB

Greetings,

Welcome back to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Maybe a different forum member has more info, but the EVGA GPU liquid cooling solutions you reference are designed to work with EVGA products. Maybe the GPU liquid coolers can be adapted to other vendors, I don't know this for certain. I do know I would not buy a add-in product without verifying the product will work with the existing component.

HP gets GPUs from various manufacturers and the GPUs are built to HP specs.

Are there any codes on your 2080 which indicate you have a EVGA graphics card?

I am not into modding graphics card cooling. Also realize all vendors use Nvidia refernce designs. But each manufacturer can play with mounting points and other items.

No guarantee EVGA aftermarket liquid cooling products will work on all Nvidia graphics cards.

Regards

Just curious - have you found out what type of RTX hp is using in omen series?

In general, have anyone upgraded blower style RTX 2080 ti produced by HP with better cooling (using watercooling or any other solution)?
