After a router substitution the printer always appears "offline".
I tried a factory reset by holding the WI-FI button on the device for 15 seconds. Later, it prints a sheet still with the old ssid.
Anyway ... still "offline"
Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance

Hi @marcoS69,

Welcome to the HP Support Community,

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with offline.

To resolve the issue of your HP LaserJet Pro M113dw printer appearing "offline" after a router substitution, follow these steps:

Step 1: Reconnect the Printer to the New Wi-Fi Network

  1. Reset the Network Settings:
    • Turn the printer on.
    • Locate the Wireless button on the printer's control panel.
    • Press and hold the Wireless button until the Wireless light starts blinking. This usually takes about 5-10 seconds.
  2. Connect Printer to New Wi-Fi Network:
    • On your computer or mobile device, open a web browser.
    • Go to the HP Smart app (if not installed, you can download it from the HP website or your device's app store).
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new printer.
    • When prompted, select your Wi-Fi network and enter the network password.
    • The app should guide you through connecting the printer to the new network.

Step 2: Update Printer Drivers and Software

  1. Download the Latest Drivers:
    • Visit the HP Support website and navigate to the driver's section for your LaserJet Pro M113dw printer.
    • Download and install the latest drivers and software for your operating system.

Step 3: Configure Printer Settings

  1. Check Printer and Network Configuration:
    • Ensure your computer and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
    • Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer to verify the connection settings. This can usually be done by navigating to the network setup menu on the printer's control panel.

Kindly check the next set of steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi @marcoS69,

Here are the next set of steps below.

Step 4: Add Printer to Your Computer

Add Printer via Control Panel (Windows):

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a Printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer. Ensure you select the correct network printer.

Add Printer via System Preferences (macOS):

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Click the "+" button to add a new printer.
  • Select your printer from the list and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 5: Troubleshoot Offline Issue

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, computer, and router to reset network connections.

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure the printer is set as the default printer on your computer.
  • Open the printer queue and check if there are any pending print jobs that might be causing the offline status. Clear any stuck print jobs.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check the HP Support website for any available firmware updates for your printer model and install them.

If the printer still shows as offline after following these steps, consider the following additional troubleshooting:

  • Network Isolation Issue: Some routers have a feature that isolates devices on the network. Ensure that your new router is configured to allow communication between devices.
  • Static IP Address: Assign a static IP address to your printer to avoid potential conflicts or issues with dynamic IP addressing.

If the issue persists, you may need to contact HP phone Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
