Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb0000 (598V2AV)

Ive very recently bought this laptop, it was a solid price, seemed like good specs, ryzen 5 5600h with the mobile 6500m for some lighter gaming which is what i was in the market for. The most important thing however was that it said it was 144hz and it even has the sticker on the laptop saying it is supposedly 144. However no where in settings or specs can i switch it from 60hz to 144. If the panel is only 60hz.

Best regards.

There are few options

        https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/ish_6400408-6400457-16

  • 9.6 cm (15.6 in) diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), WLED, antiglare, Flicker Free, SVA, eDP, narrow bezel, 250 nits, 45% NTSC

  • 39.6 cm (15.6 in) diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), WLED, antiglare, Flicker Free, UWVA, eDP, narrow bezel, 250 nits, 45% NTSC

  • 39.6 cm (15.6 in) diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), WLED, antiglare, Flicker Free, UWVA, eDP with PSR, narrow bezel, 144 Hz, 250 nits, 45% NTSC

  • 39.6 cm (15.6 in) diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), WLED, antiglare, Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, UWVA, eDP with PSR, narrow bezel, 300 nits, 100% sRGB

Your machine may NOT have144Hz at all, you may select a wrong machine.

That is very obviously unhelpful. Why would the laptop have the sticker for 144hz if in fact is not a 144 panel.

Display 2:

Display 2 uses HDMI output.

My suggestion re installed video driver for your machine

Hope this help, otherwise bring it to the shop and ask why

Regards.
