PC was fine before it updated a couple weeks ago. Gaming has been extremely laggy and near unplayable since. I've tried cleaning my pc and it helped about 85% but still some lag. Then after an update from today, it is back to being very laggy and difficult to play. All my drivers are updated and working. I need a solution to fix it completely and prevent it from happening again.

Did all this happen after Windows updates to  KB4549951?

Do you have Restore points enabled? If so, roll the system back prior to the KB update.

Or you can try uninstalling the update, but I prefer rolling Windows back.

Yes it was after that update and the ones after it. I'm not sure if I'm able to go back.

Like I said then, you can try uninstalling it from Windows updates.

Go to updates and click on View update history.

Click on Uninstall updates.

If that does not work, the only other option you will have is to reinstall Windows unfortunately.
