My current specifications are: Model: HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2xxx and my current Graphics Card: Integrated Intel(R) UHD Graphics 730

I would like to replace the integrated graphics with a dedicated GPU. My primary concerns regarding compatibility are:

  1. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Wattage: I need to know the exact maximum wattage (W) of the pre-installed Power Supply Unit (PSU) and whether it has the necessary 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe power connectors for a dedicated graphics card.

  2. Physical Dimensions: Due to the compact nature of the Pavilion case, I need to know the maximum GPU length (in cm/inches) that can physically fit into the PCIe x16 slot.

  3. Recommended GPUs: Based on the above limitations (PSU and space), which NVIDIA GeForce or AMD Radeon graphics cards do you officially recommend for this specific TP01-2xxx model that can handle modern 1080p gaming?

Could you please provide the maximum supported wattage, maximum physical dimensions, and a list of compatible dedicated GPUs?

@CARlo80,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

You have various outstanding graphics card options. Your HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-2xxx can be upgraded to a 400-, 500-, or a 650-watt power supply. Depending on what your gaming expectations are (1080p, 2K, 4K) and your budget, here are a few suggestions:

With a 400-watt power supply (p/n: L04618-800 / 942332-001), you can power a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4060 such as this model, powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable

Next step up would be a 500-watt power supply (p/n: 901759-013 / L05757-800) and a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4060 Ti such as this model, also powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable.

The next step would be a 650-watt power supply (p/n: L57253-003 / L36049-003) and a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4070 such as this model, also powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable.

Btw, the newest generation Nvidia RTX 50xxx series graphics cards do not appear to be compatible (yet?) with your system.

In my opinion, avoid AMD cards.

Kind Regards,
