Product: HP OMEN870-224
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Omen 870-224  I purchased the Crucial SDD everything is fine except the connectors do not fit properly currently it uses P-4  connector has a free P-5 P-6 P-7  do i need an adapter or replace with new.

I have already clone the drive ect the only issue i have is hooking up the new drive.I do wish to have the HDD as a secondary for back up use. Any suggestions.

@tom081459 , welcome to the forum.

 

Here is a video that should help you with the installation of the SSD:

 

 

As you will see, you need a SATA data cable and power cable.  If you have further questions, I suggest that you contact Crucial's Tech Support.  They are the experts on their drives and have always been very helpful.
