I JUST RECIEVED A VIDEOCARD GTX 1070 8GB , BOUGHT IT FROM A FRIEND THAT HAD THE HP OMEN DESKTOP,  THIS VIDEOCARD NOW THAT IT IS INSTALLED, ITS GIVING ME ARTIFACTS ON SCREEN EVERYTIME I OPEN A GAME, NOT ON WINDOWS, BUT EVERY GAME IT GIVES ARTIFACTS, AND CRASHES THE GAME, AND SOME TIMES IT STARTS FREEZING THE GAME THEN CLOSES IT, AND SOME OTHER TIMES, FREEZES THE COMPUTER FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES

I FOUND AN ARTICLE THAT SAYS THAT CARDS WITH MICRON MEMORY HAD THIS KIND OF ISSUES, AND SOME OTHER  ISSUES AS WELL

BUT I CANT SEEM TO FIND THAT UPDATE FOR THE BIOS OF THE CARD SINCE ITS AN HP CARD, NOT A GIGABYTE, ASUS, ETC CARD

CAN SOME ONE HELPME?

I'm not a GPU specialist but why GPU-Z does not report card's memory correctly? Also, both GPU and memory clocks report 0MHz?

 

Perhaps this card is faulty?

 

Can you check what Speccy reports?
