I'm having the same problem listed in several different threads on this forum. I should have 8GB of RAM available but only have 5.9 GB available. My product number is 3LA92AA#ABA. Has HP found a resolution to this problem? I did the March Bios update today but the issue persists.

@maxmt123 , welcome back to the forum.

This is not a problem that HP has created.  The memory is being used by the integrated video, even though you have a video card installed and other drivers and processes.

Here is a picture of my Task Manager:

Capture.PNG

As you can see, I have 32 GB of memory in my computer (not a HP) and I only have 24.9 GB available at this moment.  It may change if I close down some of the apps and processes that are running in the background.  My motherboard doesn't even have integrated video.  I, too, have the latest version of my BIOS/UEFI installed.

@maxmt123, here is another picture of my Task Manager:

Capture2.PNG

It shows that 22% of my memory is being used by Active Processes.  It actually changed from 21% while I was making the picture to post.

Hi, @maxmt123

This is why your PC only has 5.9 GB of usable memory...

HP released this document a while back, which explains the memory shortage...

This seems to only apply to models with AMD processors and chipsets.
