HP Compaq 6300 PRO MT upgrade the graphics card to a GTX 1050 ti card

Hi

I have a HP Compaq 6300 PRO MT with a 320 W PSU and I want to upgrade the graphics card to a GTX 1050 ti card. I have a 500GB HD and 16GB of RAM.

Can this be done using the PCI-e (x16) only?

I am looking to buy a card that does not need AUX power.

If you look at Page 2 in the section titled "Other boards" there is a list of compatible video cards.  These cards have been fully tested to assure they are compatible with the motherboard.  Your computer was released in either 2012 or 2013.  If your computer is from 2012, you should check to assure that it has UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS: https://www.howtogeek.com/56958/HTG-EXPLAINS-HOW-UEFI-WILL-REPLACE-THE-BIOS/ 

HP began using UEFI in mid-October, 2012.  If you don't have UEFI the card won't work.

It only requires 300W to operate properly and requires no supplemental power.  I say should work for you because you are adding a newer product to an older computer.
