Hi,
I have been dealing with a strange issue on my new HP OMEN 30L.
When I set my monitor to 60hz, the computer does not make any noise.
If I set to 144hz, the fan starts making a lot of noise while gaming.
If I set to 240hz, the computer restarts after 10-15 min gaming. It seems that the fans are working to hard because the computer is getting warmer. But I am not sure why this is happening.
My setup is:
HP OMEN 30L / R7 5800X / 32GB RAM / 1000GB SSD / RTX3080
Monitor:
ASUS Tuff gaming VG279QM |FHD|IPS|280|1M|Nvidia G-SYNC
I use a display port cable to connect the monitor to the PC.
It is always restarting the computer if I set to 240hz (Sometimes also restarts at 144hz)

Hello
I can't tell you if normal..
the graphics card is supposed to be capable!?
You say the fans spin faster and faster, depending on
And as you are in games, it heats up, the more you increase the parameters, the more it overheats
I assume the computer is shutting down
Check for computer updates, but if I were you I think I would contact my seller

Hi,
Thank you for the reply.
I contacted HP Support before. I updated the BIOS and reset the PC. I am not sure what else to do now.
Yes, depending on the monitor hz that I select, the fans will spin faster and increase the noise/heat when I am gaming. The more hz the more it will make noise.
