According to this newly release review from PC Gamer of the OMEN 45L - their review unit had a WD Black 1TB SN730 PCIe 3.0 SSD.
The SN730 came out in 2019 - 3 years ago...
And has been succeeded by the 750 then 770 then 850, etc....
And it is PCIe 3.0... not even 4.0.
So it is quite old.
And HP doesn't tell you this in the specs listed - they just state it is a WD Black - leading you to believe that it is the latest (or much newer) version.

What is your machine ? For example
They should use same motherboard which has
Expansion slots:
(1) PCI Express 5.0 x16 lanes
(1) PCI Express 3.0 x4 lanes
(1) M.2 socket 1, key A
(2) M.2 socket 3, key M (one for SSD card PCIe Gen 3.0 x4)
The primary one use PCIe 4 and the secondary drive uses PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4.
The above machine has
WD_BLACK 1 TB PCIe NVMe TLC Solid-State Drive
Size: 1 TB
Interface: PCIe Gen 4.0 x4
Form Factor: M.2 2280
Type: TLC Solid-State
Regards.
